Counselling with Inge Deane

It can be a minefield trying to find the right counsellor for you, especially when feelings and thoughts become overwhelming. To then reach out and make that contact can feel like climbing a mountain. You may even be thinking that you are not sure if counselling is for you. Talking to a qualified professional can help to make sense of things and give you a way forward.

I am a qualified counselling therapist, registered with the National Counselling Society. I have worked with a range of clients who have experienced depression, anxiety, OCD, substance dependency, grief, relationship problems and many other presenting issues. I have expertise in working with victims of domestic abuse, hate crime and PTSD or trauma.

I offer a very personal approach to counselling, by discussing your needs and goals, so we can move forward at a pace that suits you. I have a range of tools that can be used to help with building self-esteem, managing anxiety, living with some of the issues mentioned above and processing unhelpful/intrusive thoughts.

If you are considering making contact, I can offer you a free 15-minute phone call to discuss options and to give you the opportunity to see if I am right for you. The environment I offer is an empathetic, understanding space to put you at ease so you may explore and grow.

Whatever you may decide, I wish you the best in your journey. If you do want to contact me, feel free to email, text or ring me on the details above.

Qualifications and Training:

I trained with Chrysalis Courses, gaining a level 5 professional diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling (PROF. DIP PSY C.) This is a pluralistic approach to counselling which applies the principle that different people are helped by different processes and activities at different times. Therapy involves engaging the client in a process of shared decision-making with the therapist.

My training involved me working directly with victims of domestic abuse and hate crime. I have direct experience of working with complex sexual trauma, OCD, emotional and physical abuse, grief, general anxiety disorder (GAD) and depression. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling Society.

I have successfully completed additional training in Working with Suicide and Suicidal Ideation, Understanding & Treating Complex PTSD and Working with Sexual and Gender Diverse Clients.
