Catherine Sweeney – Counselling Therapist
I offer a warm, accepting, down-to-earth approach to really hear what’s going on for you. I allow you the space to share what’s happened that has brought you here now that may have left you feeling unable to cope or needing more support. Together we explore the patterns that emerge to find a new way forward for you.
Therapy and Counselling with Cate Sweeney
It can be daunting searching online for a therapist and then make contact to arrange that first appointment. You may even question whether therapy is necessary as we all experience personal struggles, dilemmas or loss at some time or another. However, I believe talking to a suitably qualified professional can really help when things feel stuck and there seems no way through.
By simply engaging in the process, having permission for whatever feelings come up, can be freeing. What once felt overwhelming or all-encompassing may become easier to face, freeing up energy to make decisions and move forward with more clarity and confidence. You can process and complete unfinished business from the past, begin to heal the hurt and pain of loss or move towards a decision you’ve long been putting off.
It is also important to find a therapist you feel comfortable with, that is why I offer an initial half price session, this gives you a chance to see what the start of the process is like and if that feels right for you.
